One of the real benefits of having a granite worktop as part of your kitchen is that it's quite simply the most durable surface you can get. It is almost impossible to scratch and mark and it's heat resistant. As our countertops are sealed, maintenance is simple - just clean with warm water and dry with a clean cloth.

Granite Care & Maintenance Buy Cleaners & Sealers

The natural stone your have purchased for your home or office is an investment that will give you many years of beautiful service. Stone is a natural product and simple care and maintenance will keep it looking beautiful. Here are some recommendations for routine care and cleaning:

Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, (available from Hesano Brothers).

Use a clean rag for best results.

Too much cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks.

Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on the granite the high acid content may etch the surface.

Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth.

Change the rinse water frequently.

Do not use scouring powders or creams; these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface.

Bath and Other Wet Areas
In the bath or other wet areas, soap scum can be minimized by using a squeegee after each use. To remove soap scum, use a non-acidic soap scum remover. Frequent or over-use of an ammonia solution may eventually dull the surface of the stone.

Do's

  • Do dust surfaces frequently.
  • Do clean surfaces with mild detergent.
  • Do thoroughly rinse and dry the surface after washing.
  • Do blot up spills immediately.
Don'ts
  • Don't use vinegar, lemon juice or other cleaners containing acids.
  • Don't use cleaners that contain acid such as bathroom cleaners, grout cleaners or tub & tile cleaners.
  • Don't use abrasive cleaners such as dry cleansers or soft cleansers.
  • Don't mix bleach and ammonia; this combination creates a toxic and lethal gas.

Preperation for Placing an Order

To place an order with our company, we require you to have the following steps complete in your home/ office.

1. Cabinets need to be completely installed

2. All of the appliances in the kitchen or other areas need to be on location. That includes the stove/cook top, sinks, dishwasher, fridge etc..

3. To remove your existing counter tops, you will need the following preparations completed.

o Sinks and cook top to be detached prior to removal of old counter tops. Prior to installation disconnect plumbing and electricity (to be done by others).

o Please empty all of your bottom cabinets.

4. Once the above requirements are completed, you can give us a call and we can be out to template/ measure! Our installers will provide you with any technical information and will work with you to make sure all the specs and technical details are taken care of, so please have someone knowledgeable present.

5. To reconnect plumbing, wait 24 hours after installation is completed.
